Teaching

My teaching career began at 13, when I began assisting a ballet teacher instructing toddlers. Ballet is passed down through oral instruction, traditionally, and I learned that patience, clarity, and humor lifted students up and influenced their potential to thrive. Few of us are born writing novels, composing treatises, or performing pirouettes — we all grow into proficient creators.

As both a Visiting Lecturer and adjunct, I have primarily taught Writing for College (Freshman Composition) to classes of U.S. and international students. See a sample syllabus here.
